A 9 DAY YIN, RESTORATIVE & YINYASA YOGA TEACHER TRAINING AND RETREAT IN BAJA, MEXICO
Instructors: Allison Eaton, Aaron Reed and special guest teachers
Location: Yandara Yoga Institute, Baja, Mexico
All Levels Welcome.
During this retreat, we will explore the principals and philosophy of Yin, Restorative and Yinyasa Yoga! The 9 days we spend together will be healing and nurturing for the body, mind and heart. We will prioritize the cultivation of a calmer state of being through daily regenerative practices and activities.
These slow, healing practices are a journey into the heart and soul of your being. They will naturally cultivate inner listening, heightened awareness, compassion and acceptance for who you are and where you are in each moment of life.
Join us as we let go, relax, stretch and breathe our way to optimal health and wellness. The Yin-Restorative-Yinyasa Yoga Training is ideal for those want to advance their yoga teaching career and certification, as well as for those who simply want to deepen their own personal yoga practice.
This Yin, Restorative and Yinyasa Yoga Training is an elective 100 hours of Yandara Yoga Institute's 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. For those that already have their 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification, this program counts as 100 hours toward your 300 hour Yoga Alliance certification with Yandara Yoga Institute, as well as Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits (YACEP). You may also attend this program simply as a regenerative and relaxing retreat on the beach and to deepen your yin and restorative yoga practice!
Yin Yoga includes longer held, therapeutic seated and floor postures, supported by props, to
optimize range of motion and energy flow through the joint tissue - while emphasizing hip & lower back health. Yin Yoga cultivates inner listening, heightened awareness and intuition, acceptance and compassion.
Restorative Yoga focuses on a deep relaxation of the nervous system, while enhancing your body’s ability to regenerate and restore itself on multiple levels of body, mind and spirit. These deeply restful poses are completely passive and fully supported by yoga props. Ahhhh!
To balance the yin energy, this training includes practice and instruction in a slow-flow style of yoga called “Yinyasa.” Based on the original teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and his son T.K.V. Desikachar’s “Viniyoga,” this easy, therapeutic style of yoga flow emphasizes slow, repetitive movements linked with breath, bandha and sound (mantra). We will modify vinyasa flow sequencing in a way that is nurturing, safe and accessible to all levels of practitioners.
